British Rail Class 35 – “Hymeks”
British Rail Class 35 locomotives is a class of mixed diesel and Hydraulic locomotive. A Diesel engine with Hydraulic Transmission and because of this, were nicknamed Hymeks. A Total of 101 were built and developed for the Western Region of the Network between 1961 and 1964 for use on passenger and freight work. Only 4 of these locomotives survive today.
